No, I'm not watching Three's Company despite what the subject title of this blog suggests.
But, if you wanted to knock on my door, that would be great because our new front entry door has arrived and has finally been installed!
Our new front entry door and two windows actually. Remember, the ones we ordered in SEPTEMBER?! They took awhile, but we got them in just before Christmas and before the cold weather really hits us.
Here's what our front door, living room and bedroom windows (from the front) looked like before:

Here's what our front door, living room and bedroom windows (from the front) looked like before:
The old scree door from the inside....
Inside door from the inside:
Look at that weather stripping! Not only looks great, but was really effective......(note my sarcasm).....
The old screen door from the outside (with a little emo ruby in the background).
The front before:
And here is the front after the new windows and front door have been installed:
We chose three casement style windows. We like the look of them, but also the way they open we like, as they swing out rather than sliding to open......below is a picture of our new living room window.
And here is our new front door. Gone is the crappy, rusty, loud and busted screen door! Gone is the crappy, hollow, broken door and lock. I'm so in love with our new front door! It's just so classy and classic looking. We went with a black craftsman style door. We also went with frosted glass panes in the window as well - mainly becauce we wanted the privacy as we are on a main street (not that you could really see inside anyway). Regardless - we're going to be enclosing the front porch in the next couple of years so seeing out the window won't really be needed.
We were so anxious for the windows and door to be installed as they took a little long to arrive - but they're in and they look awesome. They will no doubt help with keeping the heat in this winter as well. Also, now that these are in - we have a paint company scheduled to come and paint our main space (living/dining, stairwell and front hallway) for Jan. 12 - 15!! Then we can start hanging art, and creating a space that really reflects us.
Happy Sunday all!!
