So I have to say, the main floor is coming along pretty well. The transformation thus far is pretty crazy, and with the painting now done, it really does make a difference. There are still lots of updates we plan to do, but you know what they say.....Rome wasn't built in a day, am I right?!?
Next on the to-do list is swap out our current foyer/entryway light with a new one we picked up at Home Depot last weekend.
Here is the light currently (that came with the house):

It's not awful, but not great either. It needs some TLC, and with the new look of the main space, we wanted to change the style. I'm thinking I might re-purpose it, y'know - give it a new coat of paint, clean it up, and then use it in the enclosed front porch when we get around to doing that.....but we'll see.
Here is the light fixture we are going to be putting in this spot:

TA-DA!
It's a little fancier than I thought we would go with, but we really like the brushed nickle, the square cut-out design and it will really tidy up the space to give it a clean look. Also - it's a flush mount light, so it will cover up some of the blemished plaster on the ceiling that was done from some time ago. I'm hoping to have this up in the beginning of February - so I will put up a before and after post when it's up.
Have a good day!
